Our Story
It all started with a college project in our final year. The Marina Market visited our
campus, challenging our class to create an event that would bring people
together and be a success. Inspired, we pitched an idea that had never been seen
before in Cork – the city’s very first Card Show.
After months of research, planning, and late-night brainstorming sessions, we
presented our concept in the finals. To our delight, the Marina Market loved it
and reached out to ask if we wanted to bring it to life. Over the moon with
excitement, we jumped at the opportunity.
Balancing college work, part-time jobs, final exams, and planning our own event
was a huge challenge. But with dedication, passion, and a lot of hard work,
everything started to fall into place.
In April 2025, the first-ever Cork Card Show became a reality. The support from
attendees and vendors was incredible, and seeing our idea come to life was an
unforgettable experience. That first show marked the beginning of what we hope
will become a beloved tradition in Cork.
